I Started out in the early 80s doing house parties and local pubs and eventually branching out to my local clubs.
When he arrived in South London from Japan in 1988, DJ Mastakut found a home in the blues-dance scene, and hasn’t looked back. His collection of hard-to-find groove and jazz records has earned him recent nights DJing at Brixton’s Upstairs at the Ritzy, Dalston’s Brilliant Corners, and other clubs throughout London.

About Christian As a club DJ, I don't have that much experience, but music is my medicine. Grew up as a teenager with Steely Dan and Frank Zappa, until in 1981 two albums changed my horizon. Fuse One and ( Silk ) Fuse One, both on CTI. I discovered all the fusion musicians of that time and started collecting their solo records + have seen almost all of them in concert all over Europe.

DJ Arty started spinning at Valentino's in Tottenham back in 1976 and has been doing it ever since, also curating nights at Rudolph's and Bumbles in Wood Green. His tastes are eclectic, with reggae and ska being his forte but soul, jazz, funk and late '70s and '80s disco are also in his repertoire.

DJ Afrogrooves has been collecting vinyl since the seventies and has deep knowledge and a wide-ranging collection of all genres of Black Music including Soul and Reggae as well as the aforementioned styles. He chooses to focus on the above genres as he believes the music has an important message that needs to be heard, and is as relevant today as it was when it was made - if not more so - and with the extended show, he gets the chance to stretch out and deliver the tracks in their full glory. Afrogroove has gained significant experience in radio broadcast and is an attribute to Hale London.

Francesc and Josep founded Wake Up Jamaica in 2018. United by their passion for Jamaican oldies, they agreed there was a lack of original Jamaican sounds in Barcelona's reggae scene, therefore decided to do something about it.
DJ CocoBean is one of the newest presenters to Hale London. As an avid music lover and collector he has finally taken the steps on the wheels of steel. With musical tastes that span across many genres, he keeps his ear to the ground in search of good sound. In addition to presenting, DJ CocoBean loves supporting new talent and interviewing recording artists, alongside volunteering in the community.
